What is SEO?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, and is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine's unpaid results—often referred to as "natural," "organic," or "earned" results. In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine's users, and these visitors can be converted into customers.
In other words, if you sell computers would you like your website to come out first when a customer uses Google (*) to look for “computers”? If yes, then you need to optimize your website. That means that your website will become so good that Google shall choose it as the best result to offer to its users. You can easily understand the commercial importance of optimizing a website.
How much does it cost?
Note that this service is separate from the simple construction of a website. Any website usually needs some time to climb to the first pages of Google, so this service is usually priced by month. However there are one-off SEO packages too, for customers that they wish to who wish to give their website a kick start in the search results. The cost varies depending on the amount of tasks that we have to perform on your website.
The time required for a website to climb to the 1st page of Google search results is usually between 3 and 12 months, always depending on the competition.
How well can I do?
It depends… Sometimes it is relatively easy to go first even within only a few months, while sometimes it takes much more to just manage to get into the first 30 results. The reality is that no serious professional can absolutely guarantee to take you to the first position of Google search. This has to do with the fact that we are not alone, we do not run against ourselves, but we depend on the competition in such grouping / keywords (in our example, for the keyword “computers”). The greater the competition, the more difficult to climb, as you understand. Also, the age of a site, the number of visits, the server hosting the domain name, the amount of money that the customer can put into paid advertising as Google Adwords (in order to get some initial traffic) … almost every factor can affect the rank of our website in the Google results – sometimes positively, sometimes negatively …
